Scholarship Program
The Farmington Area Senior Scholarship recognizes a student with strong leadership skills, school and community involvement and a grade point average of 3.5 or better. As well, the student must intend to pursue a major in math or science at a four year college or university.
Dr. Clark and Dr. Romzick initiated the scholarship in 1999 as a way to thank the Farmington/Farmington Hills community for contributing to the success of their dental practice. It originated as a $1000 scholarship and was awarded to a single individual from one of the three area high schools. In 2008, a generous patient Mr. John Morris, contributed to the program and combined with Dr. Clark and Dr. Romzick, has made it possible to grant three one thousand dollar scholarships each year.
The 2011 recipients were Allison Peasley and Stephen Vorenberg from North Farmington High and Alex Wheeler from Harrison High.
Applications are available in the guidance offices of each of the area high schools beginning March 1 of each graduation year. Finalists are invited to a dinner reception at the office of Drs. Clark and Romzick in early May with the award recipients announced at the Senior Honors Assembly at the schools the students attend.
